So, I've totally been into make-up for the past six months to almost a year. It started with MAC's Venomous Villains collection, which is the first time I actually splurged on make-up items. I still have all the packaging... Anyways, I keep on buying stuff, so I figured I would start posting about that and see if I can be better about keeping a blog. Hee!

Okay, first things first. I thought I'd do a post about my daily skin care regimen with some swatches.

This is what I use on a daily basis.

From left to right: La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF 50 sunscreen, Avene skin recovery cream, Avene extremely gentle cleanser, Avene Cold Cream, La Roche-Posay Lipikar.

Moisturizers: Avene skin recovery cream, Avene cold cream, Avene gentle cleanser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF 50 and La Roche Posay Lipikar body balm. Keep reading for swatches!Collapse )
Okaaay, well this has been posted a while ago and I forgot to link it here. Here is my entry for the HP Next Gen Fest 2011:

A Deciding First Touch

Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 5,800
Pairing(s): Harry/Scorpius (49/23)
Warnings: crossgen, magic made them do it, awkward sex ahoy!

Summary: Of course the house wants them to have sex. An Auror story.

Prompt: A group of trainee Aurors and their supervisor are trapped in an ancient booby trap, and studious Scorpius interprets the runes and realises they need to sacrifice a virgin (yep, him) to get out. Some contrivance requires that it be Harry to shag Scorpius (powerful enough to divert it from death to sex? The only one who knows the mechanics well enough that Scorpius will let him near his arse, even though Scorpius is straighter than a plumb-line? A long-time crush and Scorpius seizes the chance?). Semi-public sex ensues.

I also went to Journey's 2011 Eclipse concert in Wembley Arena last Saturday! It was epic: Styx and Foreigner opened for them, and I felt a little bit like a fraud for only knowing five songs out of 18473467. But still! Styx rocks, and now that I've discovered them they're definitely on my 'to-listen-to' list :D

However! Some awesome news: I am now a reviewer at Dark Diva Reviews and will be able to put all that procrastination time spent reading sex-filled ebooks to good use XD

Happy Easter everyone!

Have been completely out for more than a month, but... Nothing much has been going on: have fallen in love with How to Train Your Dragon and have already seen it twice (and planning on a third time!), have had my brother over for Eatser and done touristy things with him, and am now actually really-not-kidding typing up some stuff for my literature review.

I have twenty days to hand it in, and must have a working prototype by then. I know I am quite critical of my writing, so I hope I can heavily revise what I already have and cull or rephrase as I see fit before I hand it in for revision to my supervisor. Will post my progress just so I can pace myself and see how fast or slow I'm going... This is already a monster at 3,400 words and I haven't even touched the surface of what I need yet. It's a bit daunting.

Have finally started playing FF13!! Have been gifted with the PS3 by my parents and brother as an advanced bday gift (WHEEE) and no purchase has ever been as awesome: you can stream stuff on it and watch it on your screen! SO AWESOME. And FF13... One beautiful game, that's for sure. Am not yet sold on the battle system, but I've just started. Also, the voice-overs are really good! I speak of only FF10 experience, though.

Well, off to more writing! Will post my day's work in around ten hours and consider how much was accomplished.

No, BBC, I will not refresh your page obsessively.

Well, so much for posting more often. I finished my Valentine's Bones/Jim fic at last a week ago, and since then work is conspiring to keep me busy :( Not that it's succeeding, as I'm gleefully trying to ignore orders of what I'm supposed to be doing. Have definitely dropped off the LJ bandwagon and have become a dreaded lurker. Oh well.

Have more than three fics in the work, none of which are particularly inspiring right now. As opposed to tackling work, have been reading pron all day long :D Someone posted a fandom!secret a few weeks ago, where they said they had failed their PhD because they spent two summers only reading slash: I'm praying this doesn't happen to me, but I can already see the trend. As as partiular Captain Jim icon would say: HOSHIT.

I have decided posting once every few days should be a new resolution. So here it goes:

(i) This literature review is kicking my ass, and I haven't even started writing it yet. Dear senior colleague, announcing someone else has finished it and I should hurry definitely doesn't make me feel any better.

(ii) My km_anthology fic is not getting any younger, and I really want to write it! GO FASTER, BRAIN. 300 597 1027 words is not barely acceptable.

(iii) I really want to stay up and get a start on that lit review (see (i)). But then, I need to get up and go to work and I don't like it there. Oh well.
